In September of 2017, I noticed I was having a hard time forming complete sentences on multiple occasions. The first thing I did was take to google and look up the female brain or behaviors that triggered this issue. If there is something I notice that doesn’t feel right I find answers, I wouldn’t always suggest google it has a dark hole of bad news sometimes. There was an event that came up located in Seattle at a venue called “The Riveter” with a woman named Nicole Negron, she was discussing the female brain.  BINGO!

Nicole is leading a movement that encourages women to lean into their natural mood patterns by living in sync with their monthly cycles. Understanding the correlation between the female brain and a woman’s cyclical pattern‍‍‍ is the key to productivity and better physical and mental health.

As skeptical as I was to attend a discussion like this, knowing maybe I would discover something I didn’t want to discover about myself. I was curious, and I was willing to do anything to get answers to my problem. Nicole shared the meaning of the monkey brain, how to change patterns, what your inner voice is saying to you, understanding female hormones, and feminine energy. I walked away enlightened and knew I needed to learn more from Nicole. I immediately reached out to discuss my situation and seek guidance. Nicole offers 1:1 coaching to focus on female hormones. Nicole’s methods have brought me to where I am today which is a complete 180.

A Woman’s voice should be loud and clear

To be clear, I have always been someone that speaks my mind and learned from my mamma a woman’s voice should be loud and clear. I was in a place in life that didn’t allow me to honor this side of myself. In a stressful situation, your body starts to show you signs enough is enough.

Can you imagine what you are capable of if you spoke your truth? Women oftentimes care about what others think too much. What the other person might be upset about, will this cause a fight, is it worth it? My response to this is it is absolutely worth it to speak your truth no matter what the outcome is. If you are in an unhealthy relationship that shouldn’t be a question in your mind.

Nicole gave me the tools I needed to move on from relationships, provided professional advice, and most importantly empowered me to become a stronger version of myself.

6 Tips how to get your voice back

1. Creating a personal mantra. A personal mantra is an affirmation to motivate and inspire you to be your best self and to provide motivation. It can encourage you to focus your mind to achieve a goal. Feel empowered to take your life back, don’t be surprised by what is unleashed inside of you.

There are no right or wrong personal mantras, it is what is true to you. Decide what ideal concept you want to focus on, and write it out as a declarative statement in a journal or post it up on your bathroom mirror as a reminder. Spend time meditating repeating your mantra to yourself, believe it to be true and manifest it in your life.

Be kind to yourself.

2. Admitting to yourself. Being kind to yourself through the process of getting to the root of the issues, do not beat yourself up for any reason why you ended up there. Allow your own voice to come through, spending time thinking about what it is that you are trying to acknowledge.

3. Support system “your tribe”.  Allow the people close to you to shine a light on what you should pay attention too. They can pump you up and give you the confidence you need to stand up for yourself.

4. Accepting the outcome. It is important to understand other people may not agree with what you have to share. Try to find ways to communicate what you want from the other person. Are you looking to resolve a conflict, end the relationship, or speak your mind? This will help identify with the other person the outcome you wish to reach.

5. Write it down. Unlocking your inner thoughts to come forward, begin writing in a daily journal. This is a tool to help you let go of things holding you back from sharing your feelings, it can help you unlock emotions you didn’t know you had.

6. Being vulnerable. Let the other person see who you are without any judgment. Being honest with yourself is the kindest gesture and stop enduring the expectation of others that do not respect your voice.

Thank you, Nicole, for giving me my voice back.
