What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?
Fear of failure can stop us from ever starting a new endeavor. What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? Creating a list of those fears holding you back, and what steps to take to let it go. If you can visualize yourself overcoming it, and allowing yourself to feel the emotions you will understand what is stopping you. Fear comes in many forms of anxiety, judgment, worry, nervousness, tension, dread, and phobias. This kind of psychology is in the form of what might happen, not something that is currently happening. Once you understand the process, you can start to let it go and not project potential feelings that are not actually happening.
Talk about your fears out loud with the people you trust, it is an important process to overcome what you are dealing with. The more you talk about what you are afraid of, the easier it is to understand yourself, what is getting in your own way? Having a support system to push you to take that plunge, acting on it and they will hold you accountable.
Harness the moments you face your fears
Harness the moments you face your fears, everything you want is on the other side of fear. Often times failure leads to doors you needed to open, consider approaching it as this could be my biggest accomplishment.
Feeling complete bliss
Skydiving has been on my life bucket list for over 9 years to do with my dad. And it happened to be one of the biggest fears I wanted to overcome. There was a day I asked myself “why would I want to jump out of a plane?” I came to the realization I wanted this experience with my dad we could cherish together. I called him right away and said we are doing this! The experience we had together was life-changing, surrendering and allowing myself to feel complete bliss.
Manifest powerful thoughts
The power of the human mind to manifest thoughts and beliefs that may not be real is powerful. Believing in yourself is the only person you need acceptance from. If you decide to remove all of the obstacles it takes to face them, it roots back to the perception people might have about you. Think back to a time you overcame a struggle or fear you had, what did you experience? Ask yourself what is the worst thing that can happen? What if you could consider one of your greatest accomplishments as one of the fears you have overcome?
Learn how to process what is stopping you
Finding a way to come to the realization of where these fears are stemming from. Did you have an experience that allowed you to have these doubts, has your childhood played a part in your process, has someone in your life told you that you couldn’t do something? Start to process your inner thoughts of how you got to this point and breaking it down into actionable steps of how to overcome them is critical.
